Description
I've dabbled around with 3D Custom Maid in the past and was surprised to hear that it's sequel introduced a photo mode with it's plus expansion.
64 GB and 30 minutes worth of installing, I've finally got it up and running on my system.
So what I like about 3DCM2+:
-Graphics. It looks spectacular on powerful hardware. And I really enjoy the anime style graphics as well.
-Customization. Tons of mods out there (almost 60GBs worth with all the DLC and mods for this game)
-IK style posing. Relatively easy to work with. Individual finger and toe controls.
-Native screenshot upscaling. No need for plugins, it's right in the options menu.
-Collision detection is really good. Legs don't pass through skirts and they react accordingly when they bump into them.
-Maids! - Lots of maid outfits to play around with, something I've been missing in Honey Select recently.
What I don't like:
-Photo mode is designed as a secondary thing. The main VN/maid manager game is the priority with 3DCM2+.
-Lots of basic functionality is missing. No camera controls aside from pan and zoom!? Unbelievable.
-You need the DLC to get the most out of 3DCM2+. Feels barebones with only a small amount of customization content with the fully patched game.
-While photo mode is great for the most part, it feels really restrictive compared to a modded install of Honey Select Studio.
Those are pretty much my initial impressions. Gonna start downloading the mods and see if my opinion changes about the photo mode.
I'm gonna mess around with this photo mode some more.
See ya!
